Mizuki Kaho was a substitute teacher when Touya was in grade school. She and Touya were in love, but then she moved to England to study. Before she left she told Touya that he would find someone that he loves more.
In England she met Hiiragizawa Eriol, the reincarnation of Clow Reed. She agrees to help him train his successor. When she returns from England she becomes Sakura's teacher. She gives Sakura hints as to what's going on with the card she needs to catch. She uses a bell that Eriol gave her to give Sakura a second chance during judgement.
She wanted to tell Sakura what was going on, but she couldn't. She returns to Japan after Eriol's identity is revealed. She seems very close to Eriol.
