Episode 16: Sakura and the Rainbow of Memories
Sakura, her father, brother and Yukito are gong to a summer house during vacation. Sakura complains about the amount of homework she has. Kero-chan comes along too. Sakura takes a walk while the others go grocery shopping. She goes to see the large house they passed by on the way. She says it reminds her of the garden in Alice and Wonderland. She meets a man there. He invites her to have a cup of tea. That night they barbeque. Sakura mentions the old man during dinner. He invites her over again. She calls Tomoyo, who is at home because she had choir practice and couldn't come with Sakura. The next day, Sakura's father gives her some cookies to take with her to the old man's house. The man shows her a room inside her house. He says the child whose room it was went to heaven a long time ago. He asks her name. They play tennis together. At tea he says he feels like his granddaughter is with him again. Sakura gives him the cookies that her father made. He asks about her father and she energetically tells him about Fujitaka. Meanwhile, Touya and Yukito are reading back at the cabin. The old man has Sakura try on his granddaughter's favorite dress. She sees a picture of a rainbow that the girl drew. He gives her the dress. Back at the cabin, she and Kero-chan try to think of a way to repay him. The next day, they're leaving to go home, but Sakura goes to see the old man before they leave. She tells him to go to the balcony in his granddaughter's room. Sakura tells him that his granddaughter must be in heaven with her mother. She uses Rain to make a rainbow for the old man. As he stand on the balcony, looking at the rainbow, his other granddaughter, Sonomi, appears. It is revealed that his is Sakura's great grandfather.
