Episode 10: Sakura and a Flowery Athletic Meet
Sakura's school is having an athletic meet. Sakura finishes first in the face. Touya and Yukito are there to watch. They brought a large lunch. Fujitaka is at work teaching. Tomoyo calls the cheerleaders to the gate. Two boys talk about Sakura being fast and Tomoyo mentions that she's cute too. Tomoyo's mother is the president of a toy company and will arrive after a meeting. Sakura says that Tomoyo never talks about her father. Touya says he'll take pictures of the athletic meet for their father and Sakura asks him to take a picture of Yukito too. Tomoyo videotapes Sakura. Sakura competes against Shaoran in the obstacle course. Shaoran trips and Sakura wins. Sakura invites Tomoyo and Shaoran to eat lunch with her, Touya, and Yukito. Yukito eats a lot, which amazes everyone but Touya. Sakura and Shaoran both compliment him on his ability to eat. Shaoran leaves. Fujitaka arrives and brings desert. Fujitaka, Touya and Yukito leave to dump the trash when Tomoyo's mother arrives. She says that Sakura is cute and looks like a girl she used to know. She asks Sakura her last name when Fujitaka arrives. Sonomi seems to know him. Fujitaka was Nadeshiko's and her teacher in high school. Fujitaka was still their teacher when he married Nadeshiko. Sonomi had been watching out for Nadeshiko since kindergarten. Sonomi ordered Fujitaka to participate in the parent's race. Yukito asks Touya about Sonomi. He says Sonomi was Nadeshiko's cousin. Flower petals begin to fall heavily. Sonomi takes off into the lead when the race starts. Tomoyo says Sonomi was on the national running team in high school. Fujitaka passes her. Touya says that Fujitaka is the most athletic one in the family. The flower petals pile up and Sakura senses a Clow card. Shaoran goes to catch the card but is stopped by Yamazaki. Sakura uses the key and Fly to get above the petals. Touya and Yukito take the rope from Chiharu and Naoko when the petals get too high. Tomoyo calls Kero-chan and Sakura explains the situation to him. He tells them to look for the source of the petals. Sakura dances with the card. She seals the Flower card. Fujitaka wins the race. Touya and Yukito help clean up the petals. Fujitaka says it would have been an insult to Sonomi to lose on purpose, so he tried his hardest. Fujitaka used to make Nadeshiko lunch and walk to school with her. Sonomi asks him why he isn't sad about losing Nadeshiko and he says he promised not to cry. Sakura uses Flower to give them each a nadeshiko flower.
