Episode 8: Sakura's Rival Appears
Sakura has a dream about Tokyo Tower again. She sees a strange boy in it also. Kero-chan wakes her up and she gets started. She starts to tell Kero-chan about it, but Touya comes in. He gives Kero-chan a suspicious glance before leaving the room. Kero-chan says the dream could be prophetic. Sakura goes to school with Touya and sees Yukito on the way. He also says dreams can be prophetic. At school Sakura shows Tomoyo the candy Yukito gave her. Terada-sensei and Rika share a glance and he coughs. He then introduces a transfer student, Li Shaoran, who stares at Sakura. Shaoran is from Hong Kong and sits behind Sakura in class. He glares at the back of her head all day. During break he talks to her. He uses a board that reveals that she has some Clow Cards. He demands that she turn them over. Shaoran knows about Cereberus. He says that it's pitiful that Sakura has found so few when she's been looking for two months already. He tries to take the cards from her but Touya shows up. They are about to fight when Yukito shows up with some nikoman. He offers one to Shaoran, who runs away. Later, Tomoyo says that Rika is buying a present for the person she likes, who is older than her. At the park there's lots of thunder, but no rain. Kero-chan says Shaoran must be related to Clow Reed's mother, part of the Li clan. Clow's mother was Chinese and his father was English. Kero-chan says Clow's magic was something new, created by Clow, and was a mix of both Eastern and Western magics. When Sakura asks if she should have given the cards to Shaoran, Kero-chan says that she is the rightful owner. The sky becomes dark and cloudy. Sakura dresses in a pink rubber cat outfit. She uses Fly to get close to Thunder. Shaoran shows up and reveals Thunder's true form. She uses Shadow to trap Thunder. She seals the card. Shaoran makes fun of Sakura, but Kero-chan defends her. Kero-chan bites Shaoran's finger when Shaoran insults Kero-chan's form.
