Chocolate Box

Unlike most other people, Ryan Morrison had always found physiology fascinating. Most days he thought his Human Physiology class and accompanying text book were very interesting. Today, however, he couldn’t seem to concentrate on studying for the class. He couldn’t seem to get past the page he was reading. It didn’t help that every few minutes his eyes were drawn to the clock on his desk.

When there was finally a knock on his door, he sprung out of his chair. The blonde crossed the small apartment quickly, answering the door before the third knock could even sound. To his surprise, there was a complete stranger standing on the other side of the door. The stranger seemed a bit startled too, his blue eyes widening for a moment before filling with mirth.

After he’d recovered from his surprise, the tall man greeted him cheerfully. Pinned to the pocket of the man’s stylish black suit was a nametag that quite clearly said ‘Red’. Wondering at the odd name, Ryan extended his hand. Red had red hair that flowed down to the floor in a long ponytail. His dark bronze skin was quite the contrast to Ryan’s own lightly tanned skin. What stood out the most were the large white feathered wings that protruded from the man's back. At first he thought they were fake, but after considering the other abnormal things that he’d seen in his life, he wasn’t quite so sure.

"Good afternoon!" the overly cheerful man said distracting him from his contemplation of the white feathers. "Are you Ryan Morrison?"

“I am.” His blue eyes met the other man’s curiously.

"Wonderful! I'm Ruby from the Heavenly Delights Chocolate Company, and we've selected you to be one of the very lucky people to sample our new line of original chocolates." A sleek white box was placed in his limp hands, with a business card attached to the green ribbon that wound around it. "Please take the time to sample our chocolates and fill out the short survey on our website. As thanks for participating in our survey, we'll send you another box of chocolates for free. I can assure you that the chocolates have been quality tested and are perfectly safe for consumption. Thank you and have a nice day."

Ryan barely had time to glance up from the package he’d just been handed before the man had finished talking. In that short amount of time, the man had disappeared. Surprised, he checked up and down the hall, but he didn’t see the man anywhere.

Looking down he noticed a single white feather that was sitting where the man had stood. Picking it up, Ryan marveled at how real the feather felt. Looking down the hall again, he wondered if he really had been visited by an angel. He set the feather and box down on the table of his small kitchen, contemplating them. If elves could exist, he supposed angels could as well. Though why an angel would be delivering chocolate was beyond him...

The thought of elves sent his eyes back to the clock. The time that had crawled while he’d been studying seemed to have sprung forward with a vengeance while he’d been talking to the angel. Somehow, it had become a quarter to six without him having noticed. Cursing softly, he took his textbook into the bedroom to pack it away. He had planned to start packing at 5:30, but now it was well past that. Slightly irritated, he searched the room for his notes. He remembered setting them on the end table the night before, but now they’d disappear.

“Ryan?” called a familiar voice from the doorway.

“In here, Kris.” Smiling triumphantly, he pulled the elusive notes out from under the dresser where they’d fallen. “I’ll be ready to go in a moment.”

“Take your time,” the small brunette said, sitting down on the bed.

“How was work?” Ryan asked while finishing stuffing a few sets of clothes in his duffel bag.

“Busy. It’s always starts to get busy around November.”

Nodding, he extended his hand to the other man. “Come on. We don’t want to keep the driver waiting.”

With a sigh, Kris let Ryan help him up off the bed. Ryan pushed the smaller boy ahead of him. Before they left he carefully looked over the living room to make sure he hadn’t forgotten anything. Granted, he was only going to be gone for the three day weekend, but he had finals coming up. If he forgot anything, he’d either have to bug Kris’ driver to bring him back or do without. Most likely, he’d have to do without.

“What’s this?”

Looking towards the brunette, he saw Kris holding the box of chocolates that had just been delivered. “Free sample,” he explained, his eyes scanning his desk. “Bring them along. I know how much you like chocolate.”

“Alright.” Kris’ voice turned hesitant. “You sure you’re okay with coming over? If you’d rather stay here and study, I won’t mind.”

Laughing, Ryan pulled the smaller man out of the apartment, locking the door behind them. “It’s been awhile since I’ve stayed over at your place,” he said, grinning. Mischievously he moved closer, pinning the smaller man to the door. “Besides, your place is a lot bigger.” He leaned forward, whispering softly into Kris’ slightly pointed ear. “And so is your bed.”

Blushing bright red, the brunette pushed him away. His small hand stole up to his ear, rubbing it fiercely. Ryan grinned wider. He knew how sensitive the other man’s ears were. That knowledge was something that he took advantage of at any chance.

With a steady smile on his face, he followed the brunette down the stairs and out to the black car that was waiting for them there. The driver opened the door for them as soon as they were close. Handing over his bag, Ryan climbed in the car. Only moments after he heard the trunk click shut the driver was in his seat and pulling out into the street. With silent efficiency, the man drove them through town.

The ride to Kris’ house never failed to entertain him. First there was the hustle and bustle of one of the city’s major business areas. Soon after that they’d past entirely out of the city and into seemingly untamed wilderness. The road stretched on through the woods until they came to a small, well-kept farm house. Instead of stopping, they drove right past, off of the main road. One moment they were driving through two trees, the next they were on a new road. The road sloped down into a valley that had never been charted on any map. Inside the valley was a city that rivaled his own in size. This city, however, was infinitely more peaceful than anything that could be found in Canada. The peacefulness wasn’t the only thing that set this city apart from any other in the country. The inhabitants’ pointed ears also marked it as something entirely out of the human realm.

Finally, at the edge of the city, the driver pulled up, opening the door for them. Taking his duffel from the driver, Ryan moved towards the house before him. It was only one story, and looked rather plain from the outside, but it spread out over the yard. He knew from experience that the inside was quite roomy. Opening the door, he walked into the hallway. Kris was right behind him, closing the door.

“Go ahead and put your stuff wherever,” the brunette said, pulling off his shoes.

Hefting the bag, Ryan moved further into the house. He’d been there enough times to have learned his way around. Towards the back of the house was the large bedroom that they shared whenever he was here. He suspected that the brunette still used his old room when he slept here alone, but he’d never said anything about it. Setting the duffel bag in a corner, he went to find the subject of his thoughts.

He found Kris standing near the microwave. To one side of him were a few Ziploc bags. The bags’ frozen contents were slowly being transformed into real food by the wonder that was the microwave. On the other side of the smaller man was the now open box of chocolates. Ryan noticed that a couple of the chocolates had already disappeared into his boyfriend’s mouth.

Moving up behind his boyfriend, he picked up the business card sitting next to the box. With only half of his attention, he put an arm around the other man. He studied the business card for a moment, noting the simple design of it. A simple, shiny golden band traced elegantly around the edge of the card. Featured prominently on the card was a pair of angel’s wings, delicately drawn. Below that the company’s name, Heavenly Delights Chocolate Co., was centered and then the company’s web address.

“The delivery person said that there was a survey online that you should fill out,” Ryan said, resting his chin on top of the brunette’s head. He held the card in front of Kris’ face. “It should be on the website listed here.”

“Alright,” Kris said, his voice sounding a little strained as he pulled out from his boyfriend’s embrace. Ryan noticed that the brunette’s cheeks were slightly flushed as he set the small kitchen table. Popping one of the chocolates into his mouth, the blonde grinned. The moment he bit into the chocolate he noticed the unusually creamy texture at the center. At first he’d thought it was alcohol, but the flavor was too sweet to be that. Grinning widely, he realized what was in the chocolates.

Before they sat down to dinner, he moved the box of chocolates to the table. He knew that Kris’ sweet tooth would get the better of him at some point. About halfway through the meal, he watched the small brunette pop another one of the special chocolates into his mouth. By the time they’d finished their simple meal of leftovers, the other man was looking decidedly uncomfortable.

Popping a second chocolate into his mouth, Ryan considered the half empty box. He’d taken a class on the way drugs affected the body the previous semester. The drug that had been in the chocolates should be beginning to take affect. The flush that was spreading over Kris’ face was clear indication that it was.

Smiling wickedly, he brushed against the brunette while clearing the dishes from the table. He watched as a shiver passed through Kris. Ryan took any chance to touch the smaller man as they cleared the dishes away and started washing them. It was amazing how well the brunette was controlling himself, really. Under the pretext of putting the last dish away, the blonde man stepped to the side. Setting the dish down, he pressed against his boyfriend’s back. He caught Kris in his strong arms before the brunette could try to get away. Grinning, he lightly traced the edge of one pointed ear with the tip of his tongue. A half strangled cry escaped the other man.

Gripping his squirming lover tighter, Ryan moved to attack the man’s pale neck. Kris went limp in his arms, gasping for breath. Taking advantage of the sudden lack of movement, he picked up the smaller man. Kissing the brunette soundly, he distracted him long enough to walk to the bedroom. Only when he’d reached the large canopied bed with its silk sheets did he let go of the elf.

Ryan’s hands roamed over the brunette’s small frame as they kissed. Sliding his hands under the man’s jacket, he started to undo the buttons of Kris’s silk shirt. Within moments he’d gotten rid of both jacket and shirt, exposing the elf’s chest. His hands and mouth roamed over the bare flesh, making his boyfriend gasp. Slowly, he licked one swollen nipple. Kris arched up, moaning softly. He easily pinned down the smaller man, attacking first one nipple, then the other. His boyfriend squirmed underneath him, seemingly desperate for any type of contact. Grinning, the blonde released his normally calm boyfriend. Much to his amusement, small hands grasped at his clothing. The hands fumbled at his belt, quivering as they tried to undo the buckle.

Laughing, Ryan moved away. Standing, he rid himself of his clothing. Turning around, he found Kris behind him. The smaller man reached out for him, his face bright red with a blush. With deft hands, Ryan removed the brunette’s pants. Gathering up his naked boyfriend, he tossed him back onto the bed.

“Ryan,” Kris gasped out between kisses. His voice was husky; his eyes barely open. “Please,” the elf begged.

"Please?" Ryan teased softly, his hand circling down the brunette’s stomach. It traced down one thigh and then the other before coming to rest on the stomach again.

“Please,” the smaller man said, his eyes misting. “Help me.”

“Help you?” Ryan knew his eyes were shining as he raised his hand. Slowly, he brought it down to caress the man’s erection. “Like this?”

“Yes!” Kris practically screamed, arching up into the touch. Stroking his boyfriend quickly with one hand, he reached for the table next to the drawer. Within moments he’d found the tube he was looking for. Pulling it out, he awkwardly opened it.

“Or like this?” he asked teasingly, one slick finger pressing against his boyfriend’s tight entrance.

“Yes!!”

Grinning widely, Ryan pushed another finger in. He watched his boyfriend’s flushed face as he did so, delighting in the look of pleasure that was there. With a wicked grin, he slid into his lover. Kris cried out in pleasure, his eyes widening. Reaching between, he grasped the brunette’s erection. He slid his hand in time with his own thrusts, reveling in the feel of his lover surrounding him. Before long he felt the pressure building inside of himself, speeding up his moments. He felt Kris tense underneath him, crying out his name. With one final thrust he came, letting the waves of pleasure was over him.

Slowly, he sagged down to rest on top of the smaller man. He kissed Kris as he pulled out. The brunette seemed completely exhausted. His eyes were closed and his body relaxed. Smiling, Ryan cleaned them both up. As he paused in the bathroom door, a thought crossed his tired mind. He quietly walked into the kitchen. With a smile on his face, he brought the box of chocolates into the bedroom. Setting the box on the end table where he would see it in the morning, he contemplated the best way to get Kris to eat the chocolates again. Smiling, he pulled his lover into an embrace, settling into the large bed.

“Pervert,” Kris said, sounding half- asleep. One eye blearily cracked open to regard him. “You gave me drugged chocolates.”

“I didn’t know they weren’t normal chocolates,” the blonde said, amused. “Besides, I didn’t make you eat half the box.”

“You didn’t stop me either,” the brunette pouted from beside him.

“Nor will I ever if you become that affectionate with just a few chocolates.”

“Pervert,” the elf teased again, curling up beside the taller man.

“Yeah, but you know you love me.”

The brunette grumbled something unintelligible as he pulled the covers up around them. As he smiled, Ryan’s eyes drifted to the end table beside him. If he filled out the survey online, another box would be delivered. He might not be able to get Kris to eat the chocolates, but Ryan could always make hot chocolate.
